Monterey Bay Whale Watch - Group
Trips
Monterey Bay Whale Watch offers private whale watching
group trips year-round. Three-hour trips are offered throughout the
year, and 4-5 hour trips are available during the summer/fall season
(May to mid-December). The longer trips are recommended for summer
and fall due to the feeding patterns of humpback and blue whales.
Migrating gray whales and dolphins are highlights of the winter/spring
trips. Dolphins can be seen at any time of the year. Every trip is
led by a marine biologist/marine naturalist who narrates and answers
questions. Trips can be catered with food and drinks if you choose.
Also, trip length and time of departure can be selected to fit the
needs of your group. By using multiple boats, we can accommodate groups
up to 420 people.
|
|
Monterey Bay Whale Watch can arrange any type of trip
for your group. We will gear the trip length toward the time of
year to assure you the best chances of seeing whales and dolphins.
All our trips are led by marine biologists. If needed, we can provide
catering for the trip. We can accommodate large groups (up to 420
people) on a space-available basis only, by using multiple boats.

The school and youth group whale watching trips are educationally
oriented and include a marine biologist / marine naturalist as
a guide. The pre-trip orientation includes displays about Monterey
Bay natural history and general information about whales, dolphins,
and other marine life. Oceanographic sampling, such as plankton
tows and water samples, is possible if you choose. Our school
trips are unique, with special educational materials available
before and during the trip and hands-on demonstrations geared
for specific age groups. Optional clipboards for each student
with questions about the trip and what was learned are also available.
Private groups can be arranged with the minimum number of people
as indicated below. Maximum is 420 people using several boats.
If you do not have the minimum number for a private boat but you
have at least 15 people in your group, you can use the group rate
